Car accident in Savannah

STATESBORO, Ga. – A series of two vehicular mishaps on Interstate 16 resulted in injuries to seven individuals on Friday evening. The Georgia State Highway Patrol reported to the first of these incidents, which took place at approximately 6:50 PM near mile marker 135 on I-16 Eastbound.

The initial collision occurred when a motorcyclist, trailing too closely to the vehicle ahead, made contact and was subsequently ejected onto the road surface. Emergency medical technicians responded to the scene, and the injured motorcyclist was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.

As a result of the first accident, eastbound traffic on I-16 was brought to a halt. During this stoppage, a second accident transpired involving a black sedan that collided rearwards into a white Suburban in the left lane. Subsequently, the force of the impact pushed the Suburban into a school bus preceding it.
